New rss feed

Please use this rss feed that I have through feedburner: or this feed myjournal.peterlbrett.com/index.php/feed/, simply because I'll be moving things around on my site. I'll also be deleting the rss files that reside in the current location over this coming weekend.

However, you don't have to (or want to) update your rss feeds but its up to you though.

Yahoo! News - NBC's 'Third Watch' Ends Shift

Third Watch on NBC has been one of the better shows on TV but it seems like the stories on the show haven't really been good. Well they have been good, but could have been better in some way. But 7 yrs is a good run for any show.

In a way, I'm glad this show isn't coming back for another yr. I've found about it here.

I'm glad the weather is getting warmer...

As the title suggests that it has been a short time since I posted to this blog. Its just that I've been kind of busy with school and homework, even though the homework wouldn't really take that long. I've also trying to get back into a routine of going to one of the local health clubs or gyms as many folks might call them that. All I need to now is to really change my diet and make it more healthy eating.

Anyways, its a few days away from spring break and I'm starting to feel a little sick. At least I'm getting sick now instead of when finals would be taking place in May, for the classes that I'm taking at UAF. I don't know if I would be taking any classes in the summer or in the fall. The decision to do so depends if I'm able to get another job this summer or not. Depending on what kind job I might will help me decide on taking classes or not. But I should see how things would go over the next several months.

I'll be moving this blog and my class blog to a newer blog that I've set up on my site shortly after the classes that I'm taking are finished for the school yr. I've found that using wordpress blog software is, in many ways, easier to use than blogger.com but I also like to use it when it comes time doing homework for one of my classes that I'm in. I'm still trying to figure out on how to use all of its features and stuff like that.

The weather here in Fairbanks (Alaska), is getting warmer and the streets are getting better to drive on but then it might be some snow & rain mix, I think, this weekend but I don't know really since I haven't really watched the local weather forecast. Yesterday, was the first time I took my car out of 4 wheel drive and had it 4 wheel drive since last October, simply because my was able to drive better not being in 4 wheel drive when there isn't that much snow and ice on the roads and parking lots.

As long as I don't out in the evening or at night, I wouldn't have to keep my cat in 4 wheel drive unless I need to get out of my driveway, when I would leave for whatever I might need to out.

drive safe all...

A story about the Anglican Church

I found this story on Yahoo News! about the seperation of the Anglican Church, which to me seems so damn stupid, because that no matter what church that you might belong too unable or unwilling to change simply that they must (or generally) follow the bible.

This whole thing about gays in general seems so stupid but you can't really change people, they are who they are. But, in this case, everyone should find somekind of common ground about having gays openly in the Anglican Church or any other church for that fact.

Links

I've posted some links below to stories that I have found interesting and liked to some degree. One specific story that didn't sit well with me, the story where a hotel is being built, but I'll let you be the judge of the contents of the story.

Also, these might not work after some time though (I think, but don't know for sure, so please don't hold me to this).
